The Gloomist is an excellent burst mage that can stop — and turn around — enemy dives in the press of a few buttons. To live out that fantasy, we’ve got the best builds, runes, tips and tricks for Vex so you can master her from your first game.

On Summoner’s Rift, she does that by shutting down carries as a mid lane mage.
She’ll definitely make you feel annoyed and frustrated.
Five days after Vex was teased in Riot Games’ official champion trailer, League of Legends fans finally received a glimpse of her unique ability kit.
A yordle mage who is perpetually downtrodden, Vex The Gloomiest uses her shadow to control the battlefield. Crowd control wise, her kit includes a slow, a fear, and the ability to interrupt dashes of enemy champions.
Most importantly, League of Legends players should note that her ultimate, Shadow Surge, resets upon getting a kill or assist, much like Darius and Pyke, as she joins the list of reset champions in the game.
On the evening of September 23, Vex was officially unveiled in the main League of Legends client. The diminutive yordle witch is skilled at manipulating shadows and can control the ability to quickly move around the battlefield with her normal skill. According to Riot Games, Vex is designed to be a relatively easy-to-learn champion. To help you uncover her moves, we’ve also put together a comprehensive guide to help you outsmart and defeat opponents with greater efficiency.
“Decay and Despair” (Passive Ability)
Vex gradually charges an energy meter that enhances the power of her next ability. When she unleashes any skill at full charge, enemies caught within its range are filled with fear, causing their dashes to be momentarily disabled. Additionally, Vex marks each opponent who attempts to dash during this time—her next auto-attack, Q, or W will deal increased damage to those marked foes.
If Vex targets a marked enemy with an auto-attack, it transforms from a projectile attack into a direct strike. This unique mechanic allows her to bypass Yasuo’s protective wall and Samira’s W without any hindrance, ensuring her attacks land effectively.
