Sperry is adding a new collaborative partner to the family via a new collection with American accessories and clothing label Mifland.
According to the American heritage footwear brand, its debut collection with the Tobi Egberongbe-founded company centers around the Sperry x Mifland 3-Eye Mini Lug and the Sperry x Mifland Billfish, marking the first-ever collaboration centered around Sperry’s Billfish silhouette.
Handsewn using time-honored craftsmanship and premium materials, the Sperry x Mifland 3-Eye Mini Lug features natural full-grain vegetable-tanned vachetta leather designed to darken and age beautifully with wear. Drawing inspiration from one of Mifland’s signature painted leather bags, the shoe incorporates the same distinctive paint colors while introducing a more substantial workwear aesthetic through a double welt construction. Additional details include a printed sockliner featuring Mifland’s signature “Million M” graphic.
And the Sperry x Mifland Billfish delivers a sportier, more modern interpretation of the classic boat shoe. Contrasting suede panels appear in different colors on each foot as a nod to Mifland’s expressive visual identity, while debossed “Million M” graphics on the tongue and sockliner reference branding found throughout the brand’s leather goods collections. Toggle laces complete the design with a quick-lacing system that reinforces the silhouette’s athletic feel.

“The boat shoe has always been a symbol of classic American prep. It is casual but refined, coastal yet timeless,” said Preston Konrad, lifestyle expert and founder of Preston Lane. “Sperry made it iconic, and it became part of the uniform for a certain kind of East Coast lifestyle.”
Now as preppy makes a notable comeback and the fashion tides shift again, the Sperry Top-Sider is being embraced by a new generation of style arbiters — thanks to the boat shoe resurgence on the runway, a newfound following among the street-style set and the growing popularity of sailing.
