Christopher Nolan's 'Odyssey' has surpassed 11 million cumulative admissions and continues its strong run at the box office.
According to the Korean Box Office Information System (KOBIS) on the 18th, 'Odyssey' recorded 11,000,003 cumulative admissions at 11:41 a.m. that day.
After surpassing 'Interstellar' to become Nolan's highest-grossing film in South Korea, it has also narrowed the gap with 'Avengers: Infinity War,' the fifth-highest-grossing foreign film of all time with approximately 11.23 million admissions, to about 230,000 admissions.
'Odyssey' ranked first in overall advance bookings for 47 consecutive days from August 3 to September 18, continuing to draw steady audience demand even more than a month after its release.
According to the CGV website, the film's Golden Egg Index stood at 98% as of the 17th. Male and female viewers each accounted for 50% of advance bookings. By age group, viewers in their 30s represented the largest share at 27%, followed by those in their 20s and 40s at 24% each, those in their 50s at 17%, and teenagers at 4%, showing that the film attracted a relatively broad range of age groups.
