Held over seven tents, the free event runs from noon to 8:30pm and will host an array of Asian inspired acts including cabaret performances, folk dancing, storytelling and a food and craft market.
Part hosted by the BBC Asian Network digital radio station, its resident DJs including DJ Kayper, Sonny Ji and the Panjabi Hit Squad will be playing the latest sounds in the Mix Tent.
Rav from the Punjabi Hit Squad, who went to West Thames College in Hounslow, said: "It's wonderful to perform so close to home and a chance to go back to the audience and area I started from. I'm looking forward to representing Hounslow in the London Mela."
Asian Network Head of Music, Mark Strippel, said: "This year sees Asian Network turning up the volume at London Mela, delivering some of the biggest British-Asian and Bollywood music stars and a bigger online and visual platform around our activity.”

Arjun, Harshdeep Kaur and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan are all scheduled to appear at the London Mela.
Now in its tenth year, the London Mela features classical music, British Asian urban artists, dance, comedy and cabaret, Asian-influenced street theatre and circus, and exhibitions.
Announcing the addition of Ali Khan to the lineup, organisers said: "We're thrilled to announce that another name has been added to this year's exciting line up which already includes AS Kang, Harshdeep Kaur, Bally Sagoo, Falak, iiSuperwomanii, Nafees, Rax Timr Productions."
Ali Khan is best known in Bollywood for his vocals on the film tracks 'Tere Mast Mast Do Nain', 'Sajda', 'Dil To Baccha Hai', 'Teri Ore' and 'Teri Meri'.
Arjun has had widespread social media success with his R&B cover versions of 'Why This Kolaveri Di', 'Kabhi Kabhie', 'Chammak Challo', 'Chaiyya Chaiyya' and 'Teri Meri'.
Kaur rose to prominence as the voice behind Katrina Kaif in the Jab Tak Hai Jaan track 'Heer'.
The event takes place on Sunday, September 1 in London's Gunnersbury Park.
