Shares of Lenskart Solutions fell more than 2 percent in early trade on September 21 after a large block deal worth Rs 2,468 crore took place in the eyewear retailer. Around 3.6 crore Lenskart shares, equivalent to 2.07 percent of the company's equity, changed hands through block deals at Rs 688 apiece.
Lenskart shares were trading at Rs 692 in early trade, down 2.2 percent for the day. The stock has, however, gained 57.5 percent so far in 2026, sharply outperforming the Nifty 50, which has declined 10.7 percent over the same period. Lenskart's market capitalisation stood at around Rs 1.2 lakh crore.
The transaction follows reports that Platinum Jasmine A 2018 Trust was looking to sell shares in Lenskart through a block deal. The proposed transaction was initially pegged at around Rs 2,047.4 crore, representing roughly 1.7 percent of the company's equity.
The floor price for the proposed sale had been set at Rs 682.45 per share, a 3.5 percent discount to Lenskart's previous closing price. The actual block trades on Monday were larger than the size indicated earlier, with 3.6 crore shares changing hands for Rs 2,468 crore at Rs 688 apiece.
