Casio watches are as reliable as affordable timepieces come, and the only thing even more reliable is their release schedule.
The Japanese watchmaker has arguably the steadiest output on the market, with multiple releases, including collaborations, limited-edition and mainline pieces, each month. When it comes to value, you can't get much better than Casio's G-Shock line, which range from everyday, durable and affordable watches, to some of the most premium professional sport-ready pieces out there.
More often than not, the watches punch way above their price point, offering innovative design and an array of features without coming close to breaking the bank. This month, there are quite a few exciting ones on the way, so we've rounded up the 5 picks you should definitely watch out for.
Taking design inspiration from the red lanterns that light up the streets in Japan after sundown, this G-Shock has a bold, bright-red case and strap, with the kanji for 'shock resistance' on either side of the dial.

The other watch in Casio G-Shock's 'Red Lantern' series is similarly statement-making, with the same bulk and loud design…
You know a collaboration hits different when neither brand needs the other for credibility. G-SHOCK x Coca-Cola GA-2100CC-3A is exactly that kind of drop. Two legacy names. One watch. And a design story that goes far deeper than slapping a logo on a dial.

What Makes This Collaboration Special Casio chose to celebrate Coca-Cola’s 140th anniversary by going back to the source – the iconic contour glass bottle. The GA-2100CC-3A is built on the beloved CasiOak platform (the GA-2100 series), and the entire design language pulls from that classic green glass, the fizz of the soda, and the feel of a vintage bottlecap.
The asymmetrical Frogman has been a cult-favorite of the Japanese watchmaker ever since its ‘93 debut due to its uncompromising toughness and reasonable MSRP. But now, G-Shock’s only ISO-certified diver gets the MR-G treatment once again. And with it, a price tag higher than some of Omega’s entry-level Seamasters.
The classic Frogman has been leveled up to cost more than some entry-level Seamasters.G-Shock
Effectively throwing everything it has into the platform, the new MRG-BF1000EB keeps the overall Frogman durability and aesthetic but with some crucial upgrades. For starters, the beefy 49.7-millimeter watch gets a Cobarion bezel over the Ti64 titanium alloy case. Cobarion is a cobalt-chromium alloy that gleams like platinum but is harder than titanium.
The Cobarion bezel has been faceted by legendary gem-cutter Komatsu Kazuhito.G-Shock
Handcrafted by master gem-cutter Komatsu Kazuhito, the Cobarion has been faceted and arc ion-plated in blue, which helps with scratch resistance. According to G-Shock, the bezel “ evokes the swirling pillars of ice that form in the most frigid ocean waters.” These are called “brinicles” and are essentially stalactites that grow underwater beneath polar surfaces. The Casio sub-brand used this natural phenomenon as the design inspiration for this Frogman variant.
