W.Va. Edward "Eddie Ray" Goddard, 79, passed away, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, June 11, 2014. Born Sept. 3, 1934, in Greenbrier County, he was the son of the late Otto and Truma Fox Goddard. Eddie was a veteran of the Korean War. He was the pastor for 11 years of Sewell Valley Baptist Church in Rainelle, W.Va., where he established Rainelle Christian Academy School in 1978. Eddie spent the last 30 years as a missionary for the Mount Pisgah Scripture Printing Ministry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Theodore and a sister, Betty Jean Goddard. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorrine Meadows Goddard; daughter, Linda Goddard Wise and husband Dean, of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; son, Jonathan Goddard and wife, Lafaye, of Chattanooga; son, Joshua Goddard, of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Stacy and Ian Norkin, of Tampa, Fla., Jennifer Wise, Joel Wise, of Tarpons Springs, Fla., and Jalen, Jonah and Jakobe Goddard, of Chattanooga; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Trembath; sister, Karen Forren, of Lewisburg, W.Va.
