Edward Joseph Goddard Sr, 86, husband of Theresa A. (Kuligowski) Goddard, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Pottstown Hospital. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late William and Bridget (Ruane) Goddard. Edward proudly served in the United States Army. He achieved an associate degree in Criminal Justice. Edward had a long career as a Pennsylvania State Trooper. He spent many years teaching safety at the local schools in the area with “Safety Sam”. Edward was a delegate FOP. He was very dedicated to his work and volunteered much of his time to giving back to the community. Edward organized the Clam Bake for the State Police for over 37 years. He was on the committee for arbitration for the Pennsylvania State Police. He had a strong handshake and was a regular customer at Saville’s Diner in Boyertown. Edward was a longtime member of St. Columbkill Church in Boyertown. Surviving along with his wife Theresa of 60 years, are his sons William Goddard, husband of Renee, and Edward Goddard Jr.; Grandchildren Ashley Ann, Brittany, Courtney, and Joseph; Great Grandchild Marissa; and many nieces and nephews. Tewksbury Edward C. “Eddie” Goddard 87, of Tewksbury, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Falmouth Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Adrith L. (Garside) Goddard.
Eddie was born in Lowell on February 18, 1936, to the late Frank Goddard and the late Juliet (Lanoue) Goddard. He grew up in Tewksbury, where he attended local schools. He served honorably in the United States Naval Reserves.
Eddie enjoyed spending winters in Florida for the last twenty years, where he enjoyed the warmth and sunshine. He also had a passion camping and snowmobiling. Eddie lived in Tewksbury his entire life and was a member of St Williams Church.
Eddie worked as a pile driver with Local 56 working on many construction projects throughout Massachusetts.
Eddie is survived by his children, Scott Goddard and his wife Laura of Falmouth, MA, Cynthia Francoeur and her husband Jimmy of Pelham, NH, Glen Goddard and his companion, Sue Ouellette of Winchester, NH; his 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; his longtime companion of 17 years, Rina Hilgemeier of Tewksbury and many nieces and nephews..
