As a man in his 20s, I can't say I pay much interest to antiques, fancy furniture, trinkets and other things that seem to make middle-aged folk tick...but all that goes out the window when someone mentions Denby.
For me, Denby isn't just 'some brand', it's a name I associate with mum's Sunday roasts, dad's breakfast bowls of Jordan's Country Crisp, and mugs of hot chocolate the night before Christmas.
We had the 'imperial blue' set - you might recognise them as those white plates with the blue ring around the edge - and the set was actually gifted to my parents when they were married in 1995.
"It was common, a lot of people would gift a Denby set at weddings," my mum said.
