WoW Forever Is Adding Crafted Tier Sets That Grow With Raid Progression

World of Warcraft: Forever has already made it clear that professions are supposed to matter again, but the latest beta discoveries suggest Blizzard may be taking that philosophy considerably further than another collection of useful boots and unusually expensive sharpening stones. Datamining has uncovered entire crafted class sets tied directly to Forever’s new raids, with special set bonuses, raid-only crafting materials and an equip limit that appears designed to loosen as players progress through future phases. In other words, professions may not simply supplement raid loot in Forever. They may become part of the raid gearing system itself.

The sets were uncovered in the current Forever beta client and documented by Icy Veins’ datamining report. The important disclaimer comes first: this is beta data. Recipes, costs, bonuses and progression rules can all change before Forever launches on November 4. Blizzard has not yet formally announced these sets as a finished feature.

What is already sitting inside the client, however, is fascinating.
