Benross Golf launches Senior and women's ranges

They feature a deep undercut cavity back oversize head with a wide, forgiving sole, toe and heel stability weighting and Golf Pride Tour grip.

Benross Jewel clubs for women have specially-created lightweight shafts with more flex to help get the ball airborne. They too are available in driver, fairway metal, hybrid and chipper options at similar prices to the Gold range. However, the irons cost £269.99 for seven clubs (5-SW).

Commented a Benross Golf spokesman: "The idea behind the range has been to create a ladies and seniors range specifically aimed at these target audiences, instead of simply taking a men's model, head painting it a different colour, using an A or L flex shafts and re-naming it.

"We have concentrated on every possible feature of each range to make maximum benefit of women's and senior golfer's game. Wider soles and extreme toe and heel weighting make the irons more forgiving, the offset drivers help square the face at impact and our own specific Seniors and Ladies shafts promote a high launch angle. The addition of a chipper also gives every possible scoring opportunity."

Benross launches first new golf clubs in two years with RS and RS Max range

Benross Golf has unveiled its first new club release in two years, introducing the RS and RS Max range of drivers, fairway woods, hybrids and irons for 2026.

Designed to deliver strong levels of forgiveness, ball speed and consistency across all ability levels, the new lineup combines modern multi-material construction with accessible pricing.

At the heart of the metalwood range is a blend of titanium bodies and lightweight carbon crowns, allowing engineers to position weight low and deep in the head. This design promotes higher launch, increased MOI and more consistent carry distances.

The RS driver (£249) features adjustable tungsten weighting, giving golfers the ability to fine-tune launch, spin and shot shape. Alongside it, the RS Max driver (£249) is built for maximum forgiveness, with rear and heel-biased weighting aimed at reducing slices and improving stability. A more compact RS Mini Driver (£199) completes the driver offering.

The same design philosophy carries through to the fairway woods (£159) and hybrids (£139). The standard RS models include adjustable weighting for added control, while the RS Max versions prioritise ease of use with draw-biased setups. Equipment: Benross HTX Type-R driver review

We tested the Benross HTX Type-R driver out on the practice field at Moor Allerton using our SkyTrak launch monitor to gather data.

Conditions were windy and we were using non-premium balls.

We know Benross make golf equipment at very friendly prices but how does the performance compare to some of the more expensive drivers on the market.

Myself (17-handicap) and staff writer Craig Middleton (18-handicap) put the new HTX Type-R driver through its paces.

Benross previously had the Max, Hot and Rip Speed range which were aimed at the high, mid and low handicappers.

They have now simplified things this year by simply having HTX or HTX Type-R with their drivers and their irons.

Type-R products have a bit more technology and are a bit more expensive so it’s more a question of budget rather than ability when deciding on which one to go for.
