When Alexa Chung teamed up with British heritage label Barbour, it felt like a match made in style heaven. Alexa was, of course, the one who turned the humble waxed jacket into a festival fashion staple, as well as having a knack for pairing practical wellies with dreamy slip dresses that's long been unrivalled.
The unveiling of her collection, The Edit by Alexa Chung, has fashion enthusiasts buzzing with excitement. Officially landing in-store and online on 19 September, the chic line-up includes a campaign captured by renowned photographer Tim Walker, as well as pieces with a blend of vintage and contemporary style, merging the iconic looks of Barbour with Alexa's signature fashion sense.

FASHION IN FINSBURY PARK: How does Alexa Chung decompress after London Fashion Week? A night at the chippy in her Barbour, of course.
On Tuesday evening, she invited a clutch of her friends — Sienna Miller, Oli Green, Tom Sturridge, Georgiana Huddart and Alexis Taylor from the band Hot Chip — to Tollington’s Fish Bar in Finsbury Park to toast her new collection that she codesigned with Barbour.
Chung, fresh off walking in the Simone Rocha fall 2025 show on Sunday, wore a slipdress from the brand with a stripy red, black and green knit tied neatly around her shoulders that she said reminded her of 3D glasses at the cinema.
Her Barbour of choice for the night was a long red wax jacket named Lizzie after her best friend.
Chung has been synonymous with Barbour for more than a decade now — wearing her jackets for horseback riding — in the rain — when she was a kid, shrugging them over her denim cutoffs at festivals and zipping a bunch of them together, at Glastonbury, to make a giant sleeping bag with her friends.

After wowing fashion fans with her A/W24 collection, Alexa Chung is once again taking the design world by storm with a fresh spring lineup in collaboration with Barbour. As the creative force and designer for Barbour's latest The Edit by Alexa Chung, her new collection is full of must-have pieces crafted to perfect a chic spring look.
Alexa shared her enthusiasm for the line, saying: "I'm in love with the second collection I have designed for Barbour. I think the codes and language we have built together are now well established in that we create playful takes on Barbour's heritage. My particular favourites in the collection are the bright yellow jacket and fire engine red raincoat. I really focused on colour and fun and I think that idea carried through to our camping trip themed shoot, with the legendary Tim Walker. This collection brings me so much joy and I hope you like it as much as I do."
