Updated Tuesday April 17, 9.32am: Iconic British label <a href="http://www.vogue.co.uk/search?q=aquascutum">Aquascutum</a> could be placed into administration as early as today, the Financial Times reports.

The brand, which rumours suggested was set to be sold earlier this month, is currently owned by British Fashion Council chairman <a href="http://www.vogue.co.uk/search?q=tillman">Harold Tillman</a> - who bought the buisness in 2009 from Japanese company Renown. Tillman <a href="http://www.vogue.co.uk/news/2012/04/16/jaeger-sold---british-brand-sale-for-20-million"> sold most of his share in another British label, Jaeger, yesterday</a>.

The administration rumours have not yet been confirmed by the label.

Updated Monday April 2, 9.14am: British luxury label <a href="http://www.vogue.co.uk/search?q=aquascutum">Aquascutum</a> is for sale, it has been rumoured this weekend. The brand, which secured financial backing in 2011 to repay its debts, is creating interest in Asia, The Times reports - with its own Asian licensee YGM, and the Carlyle Group's Asian operation, having expressed interest.

店铺采用优质的深色楜桃木，暖灰色的墙身，加上古典的英式火炉，充分营造家的温暖感觉。沿着楜桃木制楼梯登上一楼，两旁挂上Aquascutum的历史图片，让客人更能了解品牌160多年的发展。

品牌背景

1851年，高级服装店的裁缝John Emary (约翰．埃玛裔) 创立Aquascutum「雅格狮丹」，为难以预测的英国天气，设计可靠的防水外衣。其后他成功发明举世扬名的防水羊毛，并为这项新技术申请专利。 Aquascutum名字源自两个拉丁文，'aqua' 为拉丁文的「水」，而'scutum' 则是「防御」的意思。Aquascutum 于风衣的历史中，扮演着不可或缺的角色。John Emary在第一次世界大战期间，为英军设计防御衣，于是Aquascutum雨衣便成了英军必备装备之一，以及后来更发明先进的防水材质。Aquascutum 备受皇室贵族、政治领袖，以至国际名人影星的青睐。160多年以来，Aquascutum 一直是伦敦生活的一部份，品牌保留传统英式优秀的剪裁工艺，同时亦讲究时尚设计，创造出品牌独有深藏优雅的气质及时尚华丽的风格。2012年5月，YGM成为品牌全球的拥有人。
